A tip for using the iOS RSS app Reeder to view mouseover captions like those found on xkcd comics.
There’s no obvious way to do it, short of exiting Reeder to view the website in Mobile Safari. But it is possible. Expand the image with your fingers (the opposite of pinch-zooming it) and then tap once on the image to reveal the caption.

The iPhone text editor Elements (not to be confused with the iPad chemistry app The Elements) recently added a nice visual cue. Scroll bars are only visible while scrolling so the app now displays a subtle horizontal border to signal that there is additional content outside the viewing area in either direction.
